After watching my husband attend the Hero’s N Horns Clinic in 2021, I knew then that  I wanted this for myself. I first had personal physical goals I wanted to meet,  I lost approx 100 pounds, worked on my riding, got the courage up and applied! I actually had an alarm set for midnight to submit my letter of application as soon as it opened up and just a few weeks later I was notified that I had been accepted!

Day 1 I was nervous to say the least, I knew I would be the most inexperienced roper in the clinic.  Charley, Trey, the chute guys and my fellow clinic mates made me feel otherwise.  The HNH  Event from start to finish was like nothing I’ve ever experienced.   I took away self confidence in everyday life, my roping, drills for my horsemanship and friendships that will last a lifetime.  We laughed at ourselves, at each other, we joked and just shared conversations like old friends.  The outpouring of support from HNH alumni makes you feel like you’re family from the second you step into the arena.

As a roper that has been blessed to attend but also have my husband as HNH Alumni we can not wait to attend every year and pay it forward!
